This blog is an attempt to share with others my numerous years of experience with the issues of environmental paper. Having been involved in almost every major aspect of the topic for the past 20 years I am approached all the time with questions and sought out for advice and insights. This blog should be a good extension for that work.
For the past 10 years I have been the Research Director for Conservatree, the premier environmental organization for information on the impacts of paper use, paper production and the recycling of paper.
Prior to that I was in marketing and mill product procurement for Conservatree Paper Company, which was the first national paper merchant marketing recycled content printing and business papers in North America. Conservatree Paper Company jump-started today’s market for recycled content paper.
Additionally, I have a practical paper and print production background, working as a print and paper broker as well as directly for publishers and government agencies.
I sincerely hope you find this blog informative and useful. Please feel free to submit questions or ask for input, or give comments as that will be the basis of this blog.
